THE BIBLE - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the words used and thoughts conveyed to the writers of the Bible were conveyed by the Spirit of God.  In other words, we believe in the inerrant, infallible, eternal, plenary, verbal inspiration of the Bible and that it is the final and supreme authority for faith and practice.
(II Tim. 3:16-17).

GOD-HEAD - The Bible teaches, and we believe in one God eternally (past, present and future), existing in three persons:  Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit.  (Deut. 6:4-5; Mt. 28:19; Jn. 1:1, 2; 10:30; 14:9; I Cor. 8:6; Phil. 2:6; I Jn. 5:7-8)

(a)  GOD THE FATHER - The Bible teaches, and we believe He is a personality dwelling in Spirit form, that He is all powerful, all knowing, ever-present and all seeing.  That He loves mankind in a way that is hard for us to fathom.  We also believe that He is a God of wrath and must expiate His wrath upon sin.  His love was manifested in giving-(Gen. 17:1; Ex. 15:11; Deut. 32:4; Psa. 139:1-10; Isa. 6:3; 44:24; Jn. 3:16; Acts 15:8; 17:27-28; Rom. 2:6; 5:8).

(b)  GOD THE SON: The Bible teaches, and we believe He is as much God as the Father, that He always was with God, that He took upon Himself the form of a servant being born of a virgin, even human sinless flesh and died on Calvary's cross for the sins of man.  As a token of the believers acceptance with Him we believe that when He had risen from the tomb, and later ascended into Heaven, we believe He sent- (Jn. 1:1-5, 14; Phil. 2:5-8; Jn. 1:29; Rom. 5:8; I Cor. 15:3,4,20,21; Acts 1:3,11; luke 24:46; Heb. 4:15; Jn. 8:29,46)

(c)  GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT:  The Bible teaches, and we believe He is the third person of the God-Head, who, we believe indwells every believer, teaches, comforts, exhorts and directs believers, as taught in the Word of God.  It is our conviction that the Holy Spirit does not give extra-Biblical revelations today and that any work claimed to be done by Him will not be contrary to the Scriptures of which He is the author.  (Eph. 4:11-13; II Cor. 12:12; Heb. 2:3,4; I Cor. 14:21,22; Mk. 16:17-20; I Cor. 12:8-10; Jn. 3:5-7; 16:8-11, 13; Acts 9:31, Eph. 1:13,17,18; II Thess. 2:13)

The Bible teaches, and we believe that these Three, though existing as Three distinct personalities, exist as One.

MAN - The Bible teaches, and we believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God and that through sin he fell from this favored position incurring physical and spiritual death, (which we believe is eternal separation from God).  We  also believe that man is totally unable to spiritually better himself.  That only through the grace of God as extended in the Lord Jesus Christ dying for his sins, is man able to approach God in prayer and be an heir of eternal life and Heaven.  (Gen. 1:26; Rom. 5:12; 8:17; Gal. 3:29; Titus 3:7; Heb. 1:14).

CALVARY'S CROSS - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, though crucified by unjust men who sought to stifle His testimony, went willingly, as planned for Him by the Father, to the cross to die for man's sin.  We believe His death on the Cross was the means God used to vindicate His (God's) own justice and yet give a means of salvation by grace to lost man.  (Rom. 3:25,26;10:4).

THE BLOOD OF CHRIST - The Bible teaches, and we believe the blood of Christ was shed to wash away our sins and not ours only, but the sins of the whole world (I John 2:2; John 3:16).

SATAN  - The Bible teaches, and we believe that prior to the completion of the creation of the material universe, the triune God created a great host of varied spirit beings.  Among those created was Lucifer (who is called Satan) who fell by sinning against the Most High God and took with him in his rebellion a large number of angels.  Satan is the author of sin and the one who brought about the fall of Adam and Eve. Satan, who is called "the god of this world" is the accuser of God's people and is constantly active in opposing the works and people of God.  Satan was defeated at the cross and his ultimate destiny (together with his demon accomplices) is the Lake of Fire (Gen. 2:1; Heb. 9:6; Psa. 148:1-5; Col. 1:16; Isa. 14:12-14; Ezek. 28:9-11; II Pet. 2:4; Jude 6; Gen. 3:1-7; John 8:44; Eph. 2:2; II Cor. 4:4; Rev. 12:9,10; Matt. 25.41; Heb. 2:14; Rev. 20:10).

THE RESURRECTION - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God was removed from the Cross physically dead and that His body was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Aramathea, and after three days and three nights in the tomb, He rose again from the dead, showed Himself alive with sufficient proofs and ascended up to heaven and ever lives to make intercession for us at the right hand of God, the Father on high. (I Cor. 15:3,4; Acts 1:9; Heb. 1:3; I John 2:1).

THE "RAPTURE OF THE SAINTS" - The Bible teaches, and we believe in the premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take His Saints bodily out of the present evil world.  First will be the bodies of the saints whose souls and spirits have already gone to be with the Lord and then the Saints then living will be taken up. That we will both be united with the Lord in the air, "and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (I Thess. 4:16,17; Titus 2:13; Jn. 14:2,3; Acts 1:10,11; I Thess. 4:15-18; 1:9,10).

THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST - The Bible teaches, and we believe that after the Rapture of the Church and the Great Tribulation period, that Christ will return with His Saints and will rule the nations with a rod of iron; that the Church will be co-rulers with Him in that Kingdom. (Matt. 16:28; I Thess. 2:12; Rev. 19:16; Luke 1:33; Rev. 1:6; 5:10).

THE BODILY RESURRECTION OF THE DAMNED - The Bible teaches, and we believe that those who are unsaved will also be resurrected in bodily form to suffer everlasting punishment away from the presence of the Lord in the Lake of Fire. We also believe that those who die in their sins go to Hell (Sheol) immediately, until the final judgment which they shall be eternally committed to the Lake of Fire. (II Thess. 1:8,9; Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8).

BAPTISM - The Bible teaches, and we believe that immersion is the only form of baptism set forth in the Scriptures. Further, we believe that since it was commanded by our Lord in the mode then practiced, and since it symbolizes death, burial and resurrection to newness of life, we believe that a person has not been truly obedient to the Lord unless he has been immersed.  Baptism shall consist of a single immersion.
(Rom. 6:1-5; Acts 8:36,37).

LORD'S SUPPER - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the bread and wine used in the communion service are a testimonial to Christ's giving His body and blood in behalf of the sinner, that we should do it in remembrance of Him and His death. (Mt. 26:26-29; Mk. 14:22-25; Luke 22:17-20; Jn. 13:12-30; I Cor. 11:23-34).

SALVATION - The Bible teaches, and we believe that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in the blood of Christ. We believe that man is totally unable to help himself apart from the grace of God and that no form of works, such as church membership, lodge membership, baptism, keeping the Sabbath, doing the best we can, paying tithes or any and all other forms of works are able by themselves or in any combination, to give salvation to the soul or in any way make it more pleasing to God. (Eph. 2:8,9; Jn. 3:16,36; Acts 4:12; 16:31; Rom. 4:3-5; 6:23; 10:9; Gal. 2:16; Eph. 1:3-7,13,14).

BELIEVER'S ASSURANCE - The Bible teaches, and we believe that it is impossible for one truly born into the family of God ever to be lost.  (Jn. 10:27,28; Eph. 4:30; I Pet. 1:5; I Jn. 5:13).

SANCTIFICATION (Personal-Positional) - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the positional sanctification is that inward spiritual work which comes from the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, when God calls a person to be a true believer and delivers him from the punishment of sin.  In personal sanctification, God the Father not only washes the person from his/her sins through Christ's blood, but He also separates the person from his/her natural love of sin and the world, and delivers the person from the power of sin.  (Heb. 13:20,21; 10:10-14; II Thess. 2:13; Phil. 1:6; I Thess. 4:3).

CHURCH - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the Church, as spoken of in the New Testament, is constituted by all those who have been born again by the Spirit of God. We believe its characteristics are defined in the Scriptural descriptions of it as being a temple made of living stones in which God dwells, Christ Himself being the chief corner stone - as the body of Christ, of which Christ is the head - and as the bride of Christ with all the sacred relationships that this involves as is pointed out and taught in the Scriptures. (Eph. 5:23-32; Mt. 16:18; Rom. 12:5; Acts 20:28; I Pet. 2:4-8).

LOCAL CHURCH - The Bible teaches, and we believe the local church to be an assembly of baptized believers who are gathered together in a body, with organization necessary to carry on an effective testimony for Christ. As such, this organization has no authority to make more laws of its own, but to accept the Scriptures as their final authority and rule of practice. In like manner, we believe they are morally answerable to no man or group of men, but to God only.

BAPTIST CHURCH - The name is indicative of our general trend of doctrine. Our denominational affiliation will be that of our choice, under God. Only baptized believers will be received as members of this church.
(Scriptures for church references: I Tim. 3:15; Eph. 1:23; Col. 1:24; I Cor. 3:11; Eph. 2:20; I Peter 2:4-6; Eph. 1:22: Rom. 7:4; Eph. 5:24; I Cor. 12:13; Rom. 13:1-7; Acts 5:29; 15:3,419-21).

CREATION - The Bible teaches, and we believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24 hour periods.  We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.  (Gen. 1-2; Ex. 20:11).

     1.  The Bible teaches, and we believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between one man and one woman.  We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, beastiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex.  We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter on'e gender by surgery or appearance.  (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5,13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1; 6,9; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
     2.  The Bible teaches, and we believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.  (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; I Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23).

     1.  The Bible teaches, and we believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God has ordained distinct and separate functions for men and women in the home and the church. The husband is to be the leader of the home, and men are to be the leaders (pastors and deacons) of the church. Accordingly, only men are eligible for licensure and ordination by the church.  (Gal. 3:28; Col. 3:18; I Tim. 2:8-15; 3:4-5, 12).
     2.  The Bible teaches, and we believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.  The husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church.  The wife is to submit herself to the Scriptural leadership of her husband as the church submits to the headship of Christ.  Children are a heritage from the Lord.  Parents are responsible for teaching their children spiritual and moral values and leading them, through consistent lifestyle example and appropriated discipline, including Scriptural corporal correction.  (Gen. 1:26-29; Ex. 20:12; Deut. 6:4-9; Psa. 127:3-5; Prov. 19:18; 22:15; 23:13-14; Mk. 10:6-12; I Cor. 7:1-16; Eph. 5:21-33; 6:1-4; Col. 3:L18-21; Heb. 13:4; I Pet. 3:1-7).

DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE - The Bible teaches, and we believe that God disapproves of and forbids divorce and intends marriage to last until one of the spouses dies.  Although divorced and remarried persons or divorced persons may hold positions of service in the church and be greatly used of God for Christian service, they may not be considered for the offices of pastor or deacon.  (Mal. 2:14-17; Matt. 19:3-12; Rom. 7:1-3; I Tim. 3:2,12; Titus 1:6).

ABORTION - The Bible teaches, and we believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being.  Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life.  Abortion is murder.  We reject any teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the physical or mental well-being of the mother are acceptable.  (Job 3:16; Psa. 51:5; 139:14-16; Isa. 44:24; 49:1,5; Jer. 1:5; 20:15-18; Luke 1:44).

EUTHANASIA - The Bible teaches, and we believe that the direct taking of an innocent human life is a moral evil, regardless of the intention.  Life is a gift from God and must be respected from conception until natural death.  Thus we believe that an act or omission which, of itself or by intention, causes death in order to eliminate suffering constitutes a murder contrary to the will of God.  Discontinuing medical procedures that are extraordinary or disproportionate to the expected outcome can be a legitimate refusal of over-zealous treatment.  (Ex. 20:13; 23:7; Matt. 5:21; Acts 17:28).
